About The Position

Nebraska Health Imaging is seeking an MRI Technologist to join their experienced team in Omaha. This role is in a supportive outpatient environment focused on quality imaging, clinical excellence, and compassionate patient care. The position offers Full-Time Flex and Part-Time Flex opportunities with evening and weekend schedules, providing flexibility for work-life balance and professional growth. The MRI Technologist will perform routine to complex magnetic resonance procedures, producing high-quality images for interpretation. Requirements

Associate degree in Radiology or graduation from an accredited two-year radiologic technology program
Current ARRT certification in Radiography
ARRT MRI advanced certification required upon hire for IDTF centers
Current state licensure as required
Knowledge of routine to complex MRI procedures and protocols
Ability to safely and effectively operate MRI and ancillary equipment
Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Ability to work independently, prioritize, and multitask
Accurate and concise documentation skills
Computer proficiency, including imaging, medical record, and digital archiving systems
Strong communication and patient-care skills

Responsibilities

Performing MRI examinations according to established protocols and physician orders
Reviewing patient history and orders to ensure the appropriate examination is performed
Positioning patients and selecting appropriate pulse sequences and imaging parameters
Evaluating images for technical quality
Providing education and reassurance to patients throughout the examination
Performing venipuncture and maintaining IV access when required
Administering medications as prescribed and under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner
Performing POC creatinine clearance testing according to established protocols
Recognizing and appropriately responding to emergency situations
Understanding and following MRI safety, including emergency shutdown and quench procedures
Maintaining accurate patient documentation and digital image records
Participating in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
Maintaining exam rooms, equipment, and supplies in a safe and ready state
Assisting other areas of the imaging center when workload allows
Participating in staff meetings, education, and center-wide initiatives
Performing other duties as assigned
