About The Position

As an MRI Technologist at Saint Joseph East, a 217-bed, full-service community hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions. This role involves preparing patients for scans, operating advanced MRI equipment, ensuring patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capturing detailed anatomical images. Success in this position requires expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience. Saint Joseph East also includes the Women's Hospital at Saint Joseph East, which is dedicated to supporting the well-being of women in Central and Eastern Kentucky and serves a 16-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Medical Radiographer: KY, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Mammography, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Quality Management, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Vascualr Inteventional Rad, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, within 12 - months

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions
