About The Position

Precision Imaging Centers is seeking a Full-Time MRI Technologist to join our supportive, patient-focused team at our new Northside imaging center on Main Street in Jacksonville. As Precision Imaging Centers continues to expand throughout Florida, this is an exciting opportunity to join our organization and grow your career with us. The MRI Technologist plays a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality diagnostic imaging. This position requires strong communication, patient care, and collaboration skills to ensure a positive experience for every patient. MRI Technologists are responsible for maintaining safety in the MR environment and applying their knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and MRI principles to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injury. Successful candidates are patient advocates with strong technical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Florida Radiologic Technologist License
  • ARRT Certification in Radiography (R)
  • ARRT Certification in Magnetic Resonance (MR)
  • BLS Certification
  • Venipuncture experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors within the MRI environment
  • Conduct MRI safety screenings verbally and through MRI screening forms
  • Explain procedures clearly to reduce anxiety and obtain patient cooperation
  • Prepare imaging areas and select appropriate coils based on protocol and patient needs
  • Position patients properly and utilize immobilization devices for optimal imaging
  • Set technical parameters and operate MRI scanners and related equipment
  • Monitor image quality during scans and evaluate images for diagnostic accuracy
  • Administer contrast media as required
  • Stay current with MRI technology, procedures, and best practices
  • Participate in continuing education to meet state and national requirements
  • Collaborate with the Lead Technologist to support efficient patient flow
  • Assist with training and oversight of MRI students as needed
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of MRI supplies
  • Perform daily visual inspections and weekly ACR QA procedures, reporting issues promptly
