Under the limited direction of the Radiologist, general supervision of the Administrative Director, and direct supervision of the Manager of MRI/CT Services, the MRI Technologist performs professional duties related to obtaining high-quality magnetic resonance images while providing exceptional patient care and ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • MRI Certification required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of MRI Technologist experience in a hospital, acute care, or comparable clinical setting.
  • Experience with EPIC and PACS systems.

  • Experience administering IV contrast

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality MRI and MRA examinations according to established protocols.
  • Position and prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and accurate image acquisition.
  • Administer IV contrast media in accordance with department policies.
  • Evaluate image quality and make necessary technical adjustments.
  • Accurately document patient and exam information in EPIC and PACS.
  • Maintain timely and accurate records, ensuring compliance with departmental standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with patient emergencies and provide basic first aid when necessary.
  • Support the education and training of Radiology students as assigned.
