About The Position

ChristianaCare's Imaging Department is currently recruiting for a Full-Time MRI Technologist to work at Newark Hospital during the day shift. There is also a $7,5000.00 sign on bonus for eligible candidates!!!! As a MRI Technologist: Performs MRI procedures as defined by departmental protocols Performs duties in RIS, HIS, and Intergy computer systems and accurately enter patient data. Completes transmission of optimum quality images to PACS system Ensures adequate history of patient is obtained and documented Performs QC and is able to digitize films Provides superior customer service to patients, family members, and all members of the health care team Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors. Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to [neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients], including knowledge of growth and development, the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify patient needs, and provide the care needed.

Requirements

  • Completion of ARRT registry required. (Successful completion of the MRI Registry exam is a job requirement. A technologist who is recruited and non-certified in MRI will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam).
  • Completion of a 2 year associates degree program in Radiology.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years’ experience as an MRI Technologist preferred
  • Experience with Siemens products preferred
