About The Position

Beloit Health System is looking to add a Per Diem MRI Technologist to our Team! The MRI Technologist provides patient services using imaging modalities as prescribed by a physician. Performs radiographic and other related imaging procedures, producing images for interpretation by a physician.

Requirements

Graduate of an AMA-accredited school of Radiologic Technology
ARRT registration in Radiology
MRI certification within 18 months of hire or transfer
CPR certification within 90 days
Self-motivated and able to be flexible
Ability to function independently and to problem solve
Good written and oral communication skills and excellent patient interaction skills
Must adhere to established health system and Medical Imaging department policies, rules and regulations
Maintains ethical conduct and keeps confidential personal and medical information about patients

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic radiographic services
Operates imaging equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate
Selects and/or calculates technical factors
Applies principles of magnetic safety to minimize risk to patient, self, and others
Evaluates radiography for technical quality
Assumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs of patients during procedures
Administers or assists with administration of contrast media, as required
Ensures proper documentation of exam, technical factors, film usage, quality improvement, etc.
Performs quality control checks as required
Maintains accurate patient records and files with confidentiality
Provides input for equipment and supply decisions
Detects, reports to supervision, and contacts repair person for equipment malfunctions
Assumes responsibility for portions of department quality assurance and improvement program
Performs clerical and scheduling functions
Pursues continuing education
Assumes responsibility for inventory and stocking of supplies
