About The Position

As an MRI Technologist, you will perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to aid in the diagnosis of medical conditions. Your daily tasks will include preparing patients for scans, operating advanced MRI equipment, ensuring patient safety within the magnetic environment, and accurately capturing detailed anatomical images. Success in this role requires expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging or Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT or ARMRIT MRI, within 9 - months of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association, upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Responsible in enforcing magnetic field safety for MRI patients, operator and visitors.
  • Monitors the patient’s condition before and after the scan to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Explains testing procedures to patient ensuring patient understands what the involvement of the exam.
  • Positions and instructs the patient about the preparation for the MRI test.
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy of the head, thorax and abdomen, physiology, and MRI terminology, practices and procedures.
  • Be familiar with specific MRI coding systems.
