About The Position

Advanced Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and providing high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists. This position is part-time, with anticipated schedules of 20-29 hours per week. Cedar Valley Medical Specialists is 100 percent independent and 100 percent locally owned. Their staff of more than 300 includes specialized physicians as well as advanced practice and mid-level providers and support staff across dozens of healthcare specialties. They are headquartered in Waterloo, and all of their physicians, clinics, and labs are located in and around the Cedar Valley to better serve the entire community. Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology
  • Strong knowledge of MRI technology and imaging techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • MRI certification recommended but not required
  • CT Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform scans according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Operate MRI equipment and ensure proper functioning and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Adhere to safety standards and protocols to minimize risks to patients and staff.
  • Educate patients about the MRI process and address any concerns or questions.
