About The Position

Sentara RMH Medical Center, in Harrisonburg, VA, is currently hiring an MRI Technologist II to work a Full Time, Day Shift. This role performs general MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of MRI operational area for all persons including staff and customers. The technologist will maintain adequate supply inventory for performing examinations, explain the examination and procedure to the patient, and complete departmental documentation. The position provides quality MRI Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards. Duties include administration of MRI contrast per protocol, evaluating and approving patient MRI safety screening forms prior to patient entering the scanner, knowledge of MRI safety zones and other safety regulations, reviewing patient records for accuracy and evaluating all implants and devices through vendor resources, acting as a liaison with physicians and supportive care personnel, and maintaining patient records, reports, and files. The MRI Technologist performs patient MRI exams per protocol, reviews imaging for accuracy and quality prior to sending for interpretation, and explains the examination and procedure to the patient, completing departmental documentation.

Requirements

  • Trade School Graduate - Radiologic Technology (Required)
  • CNMT, ARDMS, ARRT, or ARMRIT (Required)
  • Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years of hire
  • BLS

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of MRI school/MRI certificate program (Preferred)
