About The Position

This position is responsible for producing quality MRI images, obtaining medical history, following preset protocols, and administering contrast as indicated. Performs quality MRI studies within an acceptable time to ensure maximum patient output. Demonstrates the ability to effectively perform advanced MRI angiography to include bilateral run-offs and the required reformatting with addition and subtraction of raw data. Demonstrates the ability to effectively perform the basic MRI angiography with contrast to include renal and carotid arteries and the required reformatting and exam set up. Performs abdominal imaging to include dynamic liver and hepatic according to protocols. Reviews patient record for accurate history, appropriateness of exam, and verification of order. Initiates additional views based on the ability to recognize an abnormality. Provides each patient a complete explanation of what to expect during exam and communicate with the patient during the exam 100% of the time. Demonstrates the ability to perform skillful administration of intravenous contrast material. Processes each scan, completes filming, matches with jacket, and delivers to radiologist on a timely basis.

Requirements

  • Graduate of School of Radiological Technology
  • Registered X-ray Technologist
  • Additional registry in MRI
