Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED, plus a graduate of a Radiological Technology program.
  • New grad or up to one (1) year radiology technologist experience.
  • Registry eligible or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • An Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License must be obtained before the start date.
  • MRI Advanced Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists must be obtained within 12 months of the hire date.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's/Baccalaureate Degree.
  • One or more years of experience as an MRI technologist.
  • MRI Advanced Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Responsibilities

  • Produces quality MRI images as ordered by the treating physician.
  • Communicates with patients, coworkers, and physicians through written and verbal forms of communication.
  • Complete the required continuing education to stay abreast of new procedures as they are introduced.
  • Interacts with patients and family members during the entire procedure from prep to completion of the study.
  • Prepares patients for and runs MRI examinations by screening patients and interacting with family members.
  • Assists in scheduling MRI exams for patients and maintains clinical documentation.
  • Maintains supply chain responsibilities of medical supplies.
  • Responds to and resolves patient inquiries and concerns.
  • Acts as point of contact in the absence of a department manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
