About The Position

Perform exceptional imaging procedures using radiofrequency waves and strong magnetic fields at a high technical level. Be able to put patients at ease, keep safety a priority. Must be knowledgeable in hazardous materials and proper reporting of equipment repair needs. Keep patients mentally and physically comfortable. Inject patients with contrast material. Must be aware of each physician’s protocol. Responsible for keeping the MRI rooms stocked with appropriate materials. Operate MRI equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patient’s body for diagnostic purposes. Complete appropriate paperwork for Radiologist via associated computer applications. Organize and prepare images, patient history, and paperwork for radiologists’ interpretation by using fax and Teleradiology via internet. Assure that images meet the established quality standards. Must have command of PACS and be able to assist other staff members as needed. Assist with entering MRI reports into patient’s charts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of coursework in radiologic technology approved by the ARRT.
  • Must be able to work independently and display excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must maintain current BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Must be organized.
  • Must have basic computer skills/administrative skills.
  • Must have proficiency with cross sectional anatomy.
  • Must have exceptional knowledge of anatomy.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of MRI experience.
  • MRI registered.
