About The Position

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the MRI Technologist performs diagnostic MR exams using appropriate imaging equipment and techniques. The role follows Beaumont’s philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

This is a full-time position in Combined Outpatient Imaging at the Care Center Dearborn location. The schedule is variable, with 40 scheduled hours per week; listed hours are 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with variable weekends.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent.
• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiography program or a JRCNMT-accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• One year of relevant experience.
• Upon hire, hold one of the listed qualifying credentials: ARRT certification as an MRI Technologist, Radiation Therapist, Radiographer, Sonographer, or Nuclear Medicine Technologist; ARDMS certification as a Sonographer, Vascular Technologist, or Musculoskeletal credential holder; NMTCB certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist; or ARMRIT certification as an MRI Technologist.
• Obtain ARRT MRI board registry certification or ARMRIT MRI board registry certification within one year of hire.
• Upon hire, hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of clinical experience beyond staff radiographer level.
• ARMRIT certification as an MRI Technologist upon hire.
