Reno Orthopedic Center (ROC) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated MRI Technologist to join their team at the Main Downtown location. Requirements

MRI Technologist Certification through ARRT or ARMRIT
Knowledge of MRI and radiology safety procedures and protocols
Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations/procedures
Experience using computer systems and applications, including radiology software
Experience communicating effectively with patients, physicians and other medical staff

Responsibilities

Obtain high quality MRI's to assist providers and patients in decision-making and contribute to the care journey.
Operate high field strength magnets and related equipment to produce radiographic images of patients’ specific body parts.
Operate a Magnetic Resonance (MR) scanner to obtain images used by physicians, determine appropriate imaging techniques, and operate console and peripheral hardware.
Screen patients for MR safety, explain the MRI process and address patient concerns prior to performing scanning.
Position patients for MR scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and ensure patient and staff safety.
Evaluate MR scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately.
Document imaging performed, appropriate charges and other necessary information in patients’ electronic medical records and Patient Archive Communication System (PACS).
Maintain quality control measures in accordance with American College of Radiology guidelines.
Follow quality assurance guidelines including positioning, markers, demographics, and coning to ensure optimal images before releasing image to physician.
Prepare radiology department daily including cleaning, stocking, and sanitizing work areas and equipment.
