Job Summary: Under the limited direction of the Radiologist, general supervision of the Administrative Director, and direct supervision of the Manager of MRI/CT Services, the MRI Technologist performs professional duties related to obtaining high-quality magnetic resonance images while providing exceptional patient care and ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
MRI Certification required.
Minimum of two (2) years of MRI Technologist experience in a hospital, acute care, or comparable clinical setting.

Nice To Haves

Experience administering IV contrast preferred
Experience with EPIC and PACS systems. preferred

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality MRI and MRA examinations according to established protocols.
Position and prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and accurate image acquisition.
Administer IV contrast media in accordance with department policies.
Evaluate image quality and make necessary technical adjustments.
Accurately document patient and exam information in EPIC and PACS.
Maintain timely and accurate records, ensuring compliance with departmental standards.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Assist with patient emergencies and provide basic first aid when necessary.
Support the education and training of Radiology students as assigned.
