About The Position

Quality Temp Staffing is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate MRI Technologist to join their healthcare team. This individual will play a vital role in patient care by performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and patient comfort throughout all MRI procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year experience as an MRI Technologist in a hospital setting
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (MR) certification required
  • California Department of Public Health (CRT) certification required
  • Current CPR Card issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Proof of MMR and Varicella vaccinations or titers
  • Proof of TB/PPD or Chest X-ray within the past 12 months
  • Current Annual Health Clearance
  • Strong knowledge of MRI safety procedures and imaging protocols
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Reliable source of transportation
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or hold a valid and active U.S. work visa that permits employment without the need for employer sponsorship.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, explain imaging processes, and address patient concerns or questions.
  • Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and established imaging protocols while ensuring optimal image quality.
  • Screen patients thoroughly for MRI safety, including implants, medical devices, and contraindications.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to any signs of discomfort or distress.
  • Operate and maintain MRI equipment, reporting any malfunctions or service needs promptly.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document imaging procedures within the EHR system.
  • Ensure compliance with MRI safety standards, infection control protocols, and facility policies.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure reliable diagnostic imaging results.
  • Stay current on advancements in MRI technology and participate in continuing education and training.
  • Ensure adherence to CA DPH regulations and hospital policies while maintaining required licensures and certifications.
