About The Position

Jupiter Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform all MRI/MRA procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, head/skull, thorax, breast, and extremities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent knowledge of human anatomy and pathology to produce high-quality MRI images for interpretation. This role requires demonstrated proficiency in advanced computer applications such as PACS and image manipulation for enhancement, as well as a strong understanding of MRI principles and the ability to adjust them for individual patients. The MRI Technologist will also participate in and support continuous quality improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned. The position is full-time with varied shifts, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

  • Two (2) Years of College Education
  • American Registry Radiologic Technologists in MRI- ARRT,(R), (MR) and /or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists - ARMRIT
  • Current Florida State license required if hold ARRT(MRI) certification only
  • American Heart Association BLS, for Heath Care Provider
  • 2 years’ experience performing MRI/MRA
  • Advanced training in breast MRI and vascular MPR/IVI post processing
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs, carry and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert and self-motivated.
  • Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation
  • TB/PPD Surveillance Program
  • Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).

  • Uses knowledge of human anatomy & pathology to provide quality MRI images for interpretation.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of advanced computer applications including PACS and Image manipulation for image enhancement.
  • Demonstrates understanding of the principals involved in MRI and the ability to adjust them to each patient.
  • Participates and supports continuous quality improvement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
