About The Position

Here at Fairview, we are now seeking an MRI Technologist to join our imaging team at our St John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN! This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work Sunday through Thursday from 5PM - 1:30AM with weekends as needed. Schedule is subject to change to support department need. This position is eligible for a sign on bonus that is prorated based on experience. The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).

Requirements

Technical Certificate Upon Hire
ARRT Radiology Tech Upon Hire
Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) Upon Hire

Nice To Haves

1 year experience in a related role
Additional certifications in Imaging Upon Hire
ARRT MRI certification or successful completion within 1-1/2 Yrs

Identifies relevant data from images accurately
Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs.
Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
Verify patient identification and documentation
Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
