About The Position

MedQuest Imaging is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist for its Palmetto Imaging Downtown location in Columbia, SC. This role involves completing MRI scans effectively and efficiently, maintaining the highest standards of patient care, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The position offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. MedQuest Imaging, founded in 1996, is an experienced outpatient imaging provider operating a network of radiology centers that perform diagnostic tests including mammography, MRI, CT, ultrasound, and X-ray. They utilize proprietary systems to optimize operations, control costs, and deliver an exceptional patient experience.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
ARRT registered with advanced registry in MRI
Must complete required CEU’s in a timely manner to ensure Certification remains active
Active state licensure, where applicable
CPR Certification is required
0+ years of experience as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, required
IV skills required
Knowledge of MRI procedures and standards
Demonstrate adequate knowledge of anatomy
Skill in operation of MRI equipment
Customer service background and focus

Nice To Haves

2+ years of experience as an MRI Technologist, preferred

Responsibilities

Complete scans effectively and efficiently, including collecting pertinent patient data, selecting cost-effective action plans, screening patients for ferrous and RF-sensitive material, positioning and preparing patients, selecting immobilization devices, reviewing charts and physician requests to determine optimal scanning parameters, preparing and administering contrast agents, entering patient information, assessing and monitoring patient status, reviewing images for diagnostic enhancement, and documenting diagnostic, treatment, and patient data.
Archive images to data storage devices according to established guidelines.
Maintain workflow for effective use of time, equipment, and supplies.
Maintain the highest standards of patient care possible, including implementing and maintaining the MedQuest Best Customer Service Program, providing clear explanations to patients, maintaining accuracy in positioning and exposure technique, exhibiting technical competence and clinical judgment, ensuring availability of supplies and equipment, routinely checking equipment and performing preventive maintenance, sharing knowledge with colleagues, and monitoring cryogens for a safe environment.
Ensure the Center’s compliance with MedQuest Policy procedures, OSHA, local, state, and Federal regulatory requirements, including following radiation protection guidelines, participating in formal training and service programs, meeting deadlines for reports, performing and documenting quality assurance activities, and maintaining strict confidentiality.
Cross-train for additional modalities within the center.
Complete and retain certification in MRI technology.
Build education files on outstanding or interesting cases.
Perform other duties as assigned.
