About The Position

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist operates specialized equipment to create cross-sectional images of patients' anatomy to help doctors diagnose and treat illness or disease. The MRI Tech follows all MRI specific safety procedures and standards. The technologist is responsible for screening all patients prior to an MRI exam, notifying the radiologist of a stat exam, and producing quality images to aid in an accurate diagnosis. The MRI Tech prepares and performs exams while demonstrating efficiency, professionalism, compassion, and respect. They must demonstrate effective communication with all customers and the population served. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current BLS.
• ARRT MR certification required.
• IV certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) approved program as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) preferred.
• California CRT license preferred.
