About The Position

The MRI Technologist will perform quality MRI images per physician’s orders while providing excellent service to patients. This is a part-time (0.2) position working every other weekend 8:00am-4:30pm primarily out of our Waconia location. Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an ARRT or ARMRIT approved program
  • ARRT Certification Magnetic Resonance, ARMRIT Certified, or a minimum of 1 year of full time experience in an MRI department required.
  • Ability to work independently at least 90% of the time.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, practices, and business ethics guidelines.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
  • Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance.
  • Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately, and meet deadlines. Prioritize workload effectively.
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally in face-to-face, phone and email interactions. Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI procedures in close proximity to super conducting magnet on designated portions of the body for physicians’ use in diagnosing and treating illness or injury
  • Inform and prepare patients for procedures including researching implanted devices
  • Maintain patient files, including internal and external films
  • Prepare, clean and stock work area with supplies
  • Coordinates equipment maintenance and repair
  • Maintains the necessary precautions for excessive radiofrequency exposure
  • May include IV contrast administration as needed
  • Any and all other duties as assigned
