The MRI Lead plays a crucial role in collaborating with physicians, providers, nurses, and patients to ensure a focus on patient experience, safety, quality, and efficiency. This role facilitates interdisciplinary support and collaboration within and across care teams to deliver high-quality care in a timely manner. The MRI Lead, under general supervision in a care center setting, oversees, schedules, and coordinates the day-to-day activities of an assigned team of MRI Technologists, ensuring adherence to practice regulations, medical protocols, procedures, and compliance with OSHA/WISHA/other regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Board Certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MR or MR Certified through ARMRIT
  • Current Washington State Radiologic Technologist license
  • Musculoskeletal MRI exam experience required
  • Able to operate SIGNA Explorer 1.5T version 25.1 MRI Scanner
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Strong leadership, training, and mentoring abilities
  • Advanced understanding of and adherence to all safety, risk management, and precautionary procedures, including consistent respect for confidentiality (HIPAA)
  • Efficient use of time, with meticulous attention to quality, detail, accuracy, and completion; skilled in delegation and organization
  • Ability to establish and manage multiple priorities, coordinate work activities, and exercise initiative.
  • Creativity and resourcefulness in addressing problems and opportunities and tenacity to see things through to solution
  • Willingness and ability to be flexible with working varied hours, stepping in as a working leader as needed and dependable with attendance
  • Ability to provide feedback to improve performance
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively, following specific guidelines and procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer 2-3 years of experience leading in a physician office and ambulatory MRI department, less experience will be considered

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily Imaging Care activities in collaboration with other medical providers.
  • Schedule MRI associates to ensure full coverage of patient care needs, effective services, and time efficiency.
  • Fulfill environmental responsibilities, including setting up instruments for imaging procedures, cleaning rooms and instruments/equipment, and following OSHA Guidelines.
  • On-board and train new MRI associates on their duties, including philosophy of care, patient flow, and imaging competencies.
  • Provide encouragement and recognition for excellence in performance; monitor team performance, identify issues, work through resolutions, and provide feedback.
  • Ensure daily and weekly duties are completed, including responding to patient messages and imaging treatment progress.
  • Oversee quality assurance activities and compliance with operational standards.
  • Participate in program development and implementation of operating policy and procedures.
  • Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, and supervise inventory of supplies.
  • Serve as a resource on behalf of management, handling questions and interpersonal conflict resolution.
  • Report to Clinic Manager at designated times and as needed to review complications, questions, or concerns.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of all records.
  • Fulfill other organizational responsibilities, which may include general clerical duties, respecting/promoting patient rights, responding to emergency codes, and sharing problems with management.
