About The Position

This position competently performs routine and specialized Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to produce quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease. The technologist works independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures, delivering accurate results in a timely manner. They gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families/support groups, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. Adherence to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures is required to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. This role may also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or helping to orient other staff to the department.

Requirements

Graduation from a Radiologic Technologist Program prior to start date OR Graduate from an Magnetic Resonance Program prior to start date
CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist provided prior to start date OR ARMRIT-Certified MRI Technologist provided prior to start date OR ARRT (MRI) - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists provided prior to start date
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
CVENI Certified Venipuncture
General knowledge of diagnostic MRI principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
Experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies.
Capable of performing routine MRI examinations.
Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
Well-developed time management and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and related information systems (Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS)).
Ability to work independently, as well as be part of the team.
Ability to accomplish multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
Ability to identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
Ability to ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI).
Ability to build collaborates relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
