About The Position
This position operates MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies, according to Radiologist's directions and established procedures. The technologist will position patients, administer injections of contrast media, and manipulate images to ensure a high-quality exam. A key aspect of the role is delivering excellent customer service, being attentive to patient needs, explaining procedures to reduce anxiety and promote trust, and providing an opportunity for questions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT (American Registry of MRI Technologists) certified
- Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to troubleshoot problems as related to the software
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of an Associate’s Degree or higher
- IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure
- Prior MRI experience or other radiology experience
Responsibilities

- Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
