About The Position

Utilize all MRI resources to perform high quality MRI examinations on entire patient population (pre-teen through geriatrics) for interpretation by a physician. Other duties as deemed necessary. Performs clinical MRI and MR Angiography testing, including general studies, breast studies, and the computer interactions related with these studies.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • 0-2 years of modality specific experience required.
  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT).
  • Must be licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association.
  • Must be able to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision.
  • Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be familiar with age specific criteria.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
  • ARRT MRI registration required within one year.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize all MRI resources to perform high quality MRI examinations on entire patient population (pre-teen through geriatrics) for interpretation by a physician.
  • Performs clinical MRI and MR Angiography testing, including general studies, breast studies, and the computer interactions related with these studies.
  • Proactively maintains and renews ARRT, state license, BLS, PPD, respirator fit test, and POC training.
