About The Position
This role involves performing all MRI positioning and procedures according to departmental protocols, including 3D reconstruction. The technician will be responsible for administering contrast media, ensuring magnetic safety within the MRI suite, and maintaining patient safety before each exam. Additionally, the role requires operating and maintaining equipment cleanliness and disinfection, performing Quality Control Tests, and utilizing systems such as PACS, Putty, Carevue, OpenVista, and CDI PACS. Practices Radiation Protection are also a key competency.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Applied Science
- Meets the requirements for the Registry by the ARRT
- Current New Jersey State License
- BLS - AHA approved required
Nice To Haves
- Experience in MRI strongly preferred
- ARRT Advanced Certification Strongly preferred in MRI
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate competencies in all MRI positioning/procedures per departmental protocol including 3D reconstruction
