About The Position

St. Francis Hospital – Interquest is a new facility designed to innovate patient care and clinical efficiency through state-of-the-art technology, including smart patient rooms, whole-hospital telehealth, and real-time locating capabilities for equipment, patients, and employees. It features 10 specialty-sized operating rooms, a full-service emergency department, inpatient, and critical care units. Caregivers will have the opportunity to work with world-class specialty surgeons and enhance their skills. The hospital is located in Colorado Springs, offering an incredible lifestyle with over 300 days of sunshine annually and easy access to natural attractions. The MRI Tech role involves providing quality patient care within the medical imaging department, performing high-quality images and exams while being sensitive to patient needs, and adhering to ACR practice guidelines and safety standards for MRI. The tech is also expected to demonstrate leadership abilities, act as a role model for other associate technologists, and serve as a clinical resource to unit personnel, ensuring current standards of practice.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Registered Technologist, Radiology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging - R.T. (R) and (MR)(ARRT) required
Current Basic Life Support certification required from American Heart Association

Responsibilities

Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department.
Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs.
Follow ACR practice guidelines and safety standards for MRI.
Demonstrate leadership abilities and is a role model for other associate technologists.
Act as a clinical resource to unit personnel and assures current standards of practice for the unit.
