About The Position

This role involves operating MRI scanners with precise anatomic and technical parameters to produce high-quality diagnostic images. The MRI Tech will manage patient preparation, positioning, pre-screening, scheduling, and provide procedure education. Responsibilities include monitoring patient data entry, managing image transfers to PACS, and ensuring complete documentation. Adherence to radiation safety guidelines and immediate reporting of equipment malfunctions are critical. The role also requires maintaining cleanliness in procedure rooms, storage, and dressing areas.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date OR Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date OR Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date OR Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date OR Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • 1+ year of recent experience as MRI Tech

  • Monitor patient data entry and manage image transfers to PACS, ensuring complete documentation, including lead markers and patient history.
  • Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and report equipment malfunctions immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in procedure rooms, storage, and dressing areas.
