About The Position

Under the supervision of the Lead MRI Technologist, and following established policies and procedures, the MRI Tech performs a variety of duties related to MRI. This role is responsible for performing MRI procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patient’s illnesses and injury. The MRI Tech is also responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing MRI procedures and the use of MRI equipment. The schedule is Evenings 3pm to 11:30pm, Monday - Friday with a weekend component.

Requirements

Minimum one year of experience in MRI Technology
Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills
Working knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, and/or willingness to continue formal education in this category within a designated time period
Will require 1-3 months of orientation or the equivalent with on-the-job training based on existing skill-set
Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology
ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology and/or MRI Technology
Successful completion of an intravenous certification class approved by this institution, successfully accomplished within the 12 week probationary period
ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology and MRI Technology required.

Hands on experience with Siemens MRI equipment
PACS experience.
