About The Position

Under the supervision of the Lead MRI Technologist and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the MRI Tech performs duties related to MRI examinations. The role performs MRI procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients’ illnesses and injuries, while ensuring the care and safety of patients undergoing procedures and the proper use of MRI equipment. The position is scheduled for 20 hours per week on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The role requires 1–3 months of orientation or equivalent on-the-job training, depending on the candidate’s existing skill set. An intravenous certification class approved by the institution must be successfully completed within the 12-week probationary period.

Requirements

At least one year of experience in MRI technology.
Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
Working knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, or willingness to continue formal education in this area within a designated time period.
ARRT or ARMRIT certification in Radiologic Technology and MRI Technology.
Successfully complete an intravenous certification class approved by the institution within the 12-week probationary period.
Ability to perform the essential functions without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of oneself or others, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on experience with Siemens MRI equipment.
Synapse/PACS experience.
