About The Position

This role involves accurately positioning patients, selecting optimal technical parameters for high-quality diagnostic images, and adhering to radiation safety guidelines. The MRI Tech will manage patient workflow through pre-screening, scheduling, and pre-procedure education. They will also be responsible for entering and monitoring patient data, transferring it to PACS, and ensuring image quality and accuracy. Additionally, the role includes monitoring equipment, performing quality assurance checks, reporting malfunctions, and maintaining a clean and compliant clinical environment.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required: Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following required: Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following required: Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following required: Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

  • Positioned patients accurately and selected optimal anatomic and technical parameters to produce high-quality cross-sectional and diagnostic images while strictly adhering to radiation safety guidelines (ALARA).
  • Managed patient workflow by conducting pre-screening, efficient scheduling, and comprehensive pre-procedure education to alleviate patient anxiety and ensure compliance.
  • Entered and monitored patient data, executing seamless transfers to PACS with meticulous attention to image quality, correct lead markers, and accurate patient history.
  • Monitored equipment functionality, performed routine quality assurance checks, and promptly reported malfunctions to engineering personnel to minimize department downtime.
  • Maintained a clean, orderly, and compliant clinical environment across procedure rooms, dressing areas, and storage suites to ensure optimal patient safety and efficiency.
