This role is needed to ensure consistent Saturday coverage, enhancing patient access to appointments and helping to reduce MRI scheduling wait times. In addition, the position will serve as supplemental coverage for PTO, unplanned absences, and times when additional staffing is necessary. 8 hrs/wk - Saturdays. A career as a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologist is exciting for those who are passionate about health care, patient comfort and saving lives. As a technologist, you are asked to operate MRI scanners and to ensure that the procedure produces quality images and information for the health care professional to make an accurate diagnosis. You have the chance to work and interact directly with patients as you ensure that they are comfortable and calm. Utilize your medical knowledge by interviewing patients, explaining the procedure and placing the patient in the appropriate spot on the table. Technologists are also organized, detail-oriented people who are familiar with the anatomical area that is being scanned and the patient's history. Develop relationships with patients as you help diagnose their condition as an MRI technologist.
