About The Position

This position is for an MRI Tech in the Radiology/Cardiology department. The shift is 5x8s (12:30p-9p M-F), totaling 40 hours per week. On weeks where a Saturday shift is required, the schedule will include four 8-hour shifts (12:30p -9pm) Monday-Friday and one 8-hour shift (8a-4p) on Saturday, also totaling 40 hours. This role requires the technician to work at both the West Ashley and Mt. Pleasant facilities as needed. First-time MRI Techs are accepted. A radiation badge is required and must be provided by the agency, as MUSC does not provide them to travelers. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June-November, with peak activity in August and September), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. Travelers should not confirm new or extended assignments during this season if this is a concern.

Requirements

• 2+ years of MRI experience
• BLS certification
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
• Must provide own radiation badge
• Must be willing to work at West Ashley and Mt. Pleasant facilities

• Experience with Epic charting system

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Position patients and equipment for imaging.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during MRI scans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols.
• Float between West Ashley and Mt. Pleasant facilities as needed.
