About The Position

The MRI Tech Assistant provides essential support to medical imaging technologists and helps maintain smooth patient flow in the imaging department. The role focuses on patient care, room readiness, and operational support to create a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience and familiarity with radiology and medical terminology.
Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of experience in healthcare or medical imaging.
American Heart Association BLS certification.
Currently enrolled in a Radiology Technologist program.

Responsibilities

Escort patients in and out of exam rooms.
Safely transfer patients on and off exam tables.
Push and maneuver stretchers and wheelchairs to transport patients.
Support technologists with patient positioning during imaging exams.
Restock supplies and maintain inventory levels in exam rooms.
Keep exam rooms clean, organized, and prepared for procedures.
Answer phones and communicate courteously with patients and team members.
Schedule patient exams as needed.
Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout their visit.
