About The Position

Accompanies the MRI Technologist during all MRI procedures by serving as the 2nd staff member in the MRI suite per ACR recommendations. Could assist with transport of patients, verifying orders with provider offices and radiologists, scheduling, turning over MRI suite, ordering and stocking supplies, calling patients to verify screening forms and lab work needed, completing paperwork, and other tasks as asked.

Requirements

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)

Responsibilities

Works under minimal supervision.
Completes procedure documentation in Epic for MRI exams.
Preparing patients for MRI procedures - changed into gowns/shorts, shoes and jewelry removed.
Utilizes radiology information systems to facilitate care.
Assists with obtaining the patient history and documenting into Epic.
Cleaning up the room following the completion of the exam.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Performing light housekeeping duties (e.g., keeping room clean, laundry)
Meets productivity levels as established by department benchmarking.
Assists other areas during downtimes so to maintain productivity.
Assists with patients during procedures.
Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality.
Maintains annual competency assessment for skills needed to perform this job.
Stocks supplies, linen and other items as needed within the department
Protects healthcare organization value by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
