About The Position

The MRI Supervisor manages the daily operations of the MR division located at the main campus, MOB and Hoglund. This includes the shared oversight of the technical, business and personnel related aspects of ensuring safe patient care. The MRI Supervisor reports directly to the Radiology Operations Manager-MRI.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate
  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology or MR Imaging
  • Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) upon Hire
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years clinical experience in MRI
  • Previous supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Administers Gadolinium, Normal Saline and Heparin intravenous medications using appropriate techniques.
  • Functions with limited supervisor and broad direction with responsibility for directing all MRI Division activities.
  • Plans, directs and supervises the activity of all staff in the division.
  • Responsible for completion of mandatory educational assignments as provided by senior supervisor or assistant director.
  • Responsible for the overall maintenance, evaluation and performance of all equipment in the division.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all division activity is performed in an efficient, organized and safe manner.
  • Responsible for the preparation of all reports and documentation to support the division including budgets, purchasing, staffing, performance improvement, etc.
  • Work with Department Administrator as requested to support various teams, committees, performance improvement activities.
  • Works with various staff including physicians, nurses, residents, etc. to optimize patient care. Instructs students, residents, etc. about exams and equipment as appropriate in the division
  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
