About The Position
Olympia Orthopaedics Associates (OOA) is seeking a full-time MRI Runner to join their team in Olympia, WA. This role is responsible for patient flow and preparation for MRI scans, ensuring a smooth and efficient process. OOA is a drug-free, alcohol-free, and smoke-free workplace, and successful candidates must pass a background and pre-employment drug screen, including nicotine testing.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of experience in a medical office setting, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Directs patients to and from the patient seating area and walks them from MRI scan suites to their dressing room.
- Prepares patients for their MRI by instructing them on changing and removing metal objects, and assists as needed.
- Relays patient paperwork from the patient to the MRI Technologist.
- Maintains dressing room cleanliness and stocks necessary supplies.
- Tracks inventory items and reports to the MRI Lead when supplies need to be ordered.
- Keeps scan rooms on time by ensuring patients are ready promptly.
- Completes impedance checks for patients with implants prior to scanning.
- Provides lunch coverage for the receptionist through a reduced check-in process.
