The MRI Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing MRI procedures. This role is responsible for patient assessment, IV access and monitoring patients before, during, and after imaging procedures.
Requirements
- BSN
- Active RN license
- BLS/ACLS Required
- Critical Care experience is Required
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments prior to MRI procedures
- Screen patients for MRI safety
- Initiate and maintain IV access for contrast administration
- Administer contrast agents per protocol
- Monitor patients throughout procedures
- Recognize and respond to adverse reactions or emergencies
- Provide patient education and support
- Ensure compliance with MRI safety standards
- Document all patient care accurately
- Collaborate with MRI technologists and radiologists
