The MRI Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing MRI procedures. This role is responsible for patient assessment, IV access and monitoring patients before, during, and after imaging procedures.

Requirements

  • BSN
  • Active RN license
  • BLS/ACLS Required
  • Critical Care experience is Required

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments prior to MRI procedures
  • Screen patients for MRI safety
  • Initiate and maintain IV access for contrast administration
  • Administer contrast agents per protocol
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures
  • Recognize and respond to adverse reactions or emergencies
  • Provide patient education and support
  • Ensure compliance with MRI safety standards
  • Document all patient care accurately
  • Collaborate with MRI technologists and radiologists
