About The Position

Work with a great team and cutting edge scanning technology as a patient-centered MRI Technologist in a Level 1 Trauma Center. This position joins an expanding team and performs MRI exams using independent judgment and initiative, prepares patients for MRI exams, administers contrast media, and is capable of starting an intravenous catheter. This position also functions as a resource for Radiologic Technology students and interns and is an advocate for MRI safety.

Requirements

• MRI Certified
• One year of Radiologic Technologist clinical experience.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Registered as an MRI Technologist with the ARRT.
• BLS from an AHA- or ARC-sponsored program.
• ARRT Certified
• Obtain the advanced ARRT registry in MRI within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI exams using independent judgment and initiative.
• Prepares patients for MRI exams.
• Administers contrast media.
• Starts intravenous catheters.
• Functions as a resource for Radiologic Technology students and interns.
• Advocates for MRI safety.
