This role involves managing the end-to-end workflow for concession preparation, validation, and stakeholder coordination. The engineer will provide on-call/on-duty support, including shop floor support, and conduct technical studies, 3D part design, flight test support, and Special Instruction (SI) management. Key responsibilities include reviewing concession data for accuracy, analyzing deviations, and coordinating with the Quality team for non-conformance clarifications. The position requires liaising with multiple functions to determine the most appropriate repair solutions considering cost, time, performance, and installation requirements. Coordination with Supply Chain regarding repair fastener availability is also crucial. The engineer will provide disposition decisions (use-as-is, repair, rework, scrap, return to supplier), identify and escalate repeating issues for corrective action, and propose design improvements to Engineering and manufacturing teams. If necessary, the role includes designing special parts to resolve nonconformities and reviewing concessions to recommend design change requests for design-related nonconformities. The engineer will manage engineering data, documentation, and deliverables in compliance with quality and configuration requirements, support digital continuity initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvement in design and communication processes. Additionally, the role involves serving as a technical representative for onsite-offshore coordination, addressing queries, Return to Task (RTT) clarifications, and technical escalations.
