About The Position

Perform MR exams and procedures according to established protocols to provide quality images and patient care. This role involves obtaining patient history, answering questions, and providing patients with information about the exam or procedure to ensure they are comfortable and understand it. The technologist must comply with all safety policies and procedures, and work with radiologists, referring clinics, and/or patients to ensure appropriate exams, films, and medical records are correct and prepared. Accurate and complete paperwork for the radiologist, referring clinic, and patient records is essential. The role also requires incorporating company values into daily interactions and may include training new employees, stocking/ordering department supplies, and assisting in other departments.

Requirements

  • ARRT(R), ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT. If ARRT(R), required to obtain ARRT(MR) within a year.
  • MR Certification required within one year of employment.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Knowledge of basic radiologic principles, procedures, methods and techniques required.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology required.
  • Excellent patient care, problem solving, organizational, communication and technical skills required.
  • Ability to work independently, in a team, and with all levels of the organization required.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety-related work behaviors to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Must be competent in using a computer keyboard, email, and PACS or similar applications.

Nice To Haves

  • 6-12 months MR experience preferred.
  • IV and power contrast injector experience preferred.
  • Willing to train new graduates of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology

Responsibilities

  • Perform all MR exams according to established protocols and assist physician in invasive procedures in a timely manner.
  • Obtain patient history, answer questions, and provide the patient with information about the exam and/or procedure so they are comfortable and thoroughly understand it.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Work with the radiologists, referring clinics and/or patients to ensure the appropriate exams, films and medical records are correct and prepared for the exam.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is accurate and complete for the radiologist, referring clinic and the patient’s medical records.
  • Incorporate company values into daily interactions with internal and external customers.
  • Other duties may include, but are not limited to, training new employees, stocking and/or ordering department supplies and assisting in other departments.
