The UAS Pilot II will act as pilot in command (PIC) of MQ-9A aircraft and provide safe operation of the aircraft in CONUS and/or OCONUS locations. This role involves participating in all phases of flight, adhering to military, civilian, and ICAO flight rules, and providing expertise in unmanned aircraft operations. The position also requires developing briefing and training materials, performing system and equipment operations, and providing technical knowledge for UAS integration into the National Airspace System (NAS) in collaboration with government organizations and the Original Equipment Manufacturer. The goal is to ensure safe and efficient integration without negatively impacting existing capacity, safety, or airspace users.
