About The Position

KBR is seeking a highly qualified MQ-4C Triton Pilot to support tasking at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) for Air Test and Evaluation Squadron TWO ZERO (VX-20) at NAS Patuxent River, MD. As part of the world’s largest independent flight test organization, supporting both US Government and commercial agencies, you will be joining a highly talented and experienced aircrew services team that has provided over 40 continuous years of Test Aircrew support for NAVAIR. As a long-term incumbent and leader in test aircrew expertise, the selected applicant will work within the VX-20 squadron environment composed of government, military, contractor, and industry personnel while supporting flight test.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate (long-course) of one of the following test pilot schools: USNTPS, USAFTPS, Empire Test Pilot School, or EPNER Test Pilot School.
  • If not a graduate of test pilot school, candidates must have at least 2,000 hours PC/PIC flight time in a manned aircraft, or 500 hours in an unmanned aircraft
  • At least 5 years of related experience in test and evaluation or operational military aviation experience.
  • Must have the ability to direct test aircraft operations planning, scheduling, execution, and reporting for the MQ-4C
  • Must be able to maintain an FAA Class II medical certificate.
  • Must be qualified or previously qualified as an MQ-4 or RQ-4 pilot
  • Must have a current DoD Top Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain.
  • Contract requires US Citizenship.
  • Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Applicant must be eligible for and obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in an engineering discipline
  • 8 years of flight experience with 4 years of flight test experience
  • A minimum of 200 hours PIC in MQ-4C Triton aircraft

Responsibilities

  • Pilot and operate the MQ-4C Triton during developmental flight test events to evaluate aircraft, mission system, sensor, and software performance against test objectives.
  • Develop test plans, test cards, and mission requirements supporting MQ-4C developmental test activities.
  • Conduct mission planning, flight operations, and post-mission debriefs to safely execute assigned test objectives.
  • Analyze test data and prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations documenting test results and aircraft/system performance.
  • Coordinate with the Integrated Test Team (ITT), government program offices, aircrew, engineers, and fleet representatives to support test execution and program objectives.
  • The selected applicant will work within the Triton ITT composed of government, military, contractor, and industry personnel while supporting flight test.
