About The Position

The Enhancement Crew Lead is responsible for leading a landscape maintenance crew of up to 4 members to perform landscape maintenance services throughout Des Moines and surrounding areas. The Crew Lead is responsible for promoting jobsite safety, completing jobs with great efficiency while providing excellent customer service, and exhibits pride and quality workmanship.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Mowing or related Industry
• General horticulture knowledge
• Iowa Commercial Pesticide Applicator 3OT License or ability to obtain one within 20 days of hire
• Proficient in operating landscape equipment
• Valid Iowa driver’s license
• Must have valid First-Aid and CPR cards or be willing to obtain one
• Must be self-motivated and possess strong leadership skills
• Must be professional in appearance and actions
• Must be well organized with the ability to multi-task
• Must have the ability to be proactive, plan ahead and problem solve to minimize disruption, errors, risks and to keep project on-task, within budget and on-schedule

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, and edge lawns operating zero turn mowers, trimmers, edgers and other power equipment.
• Work closely with Operations Manager and Sales team
• Lead crew members in performing mowing services
• Manage crew effectively and efficiently to produce an excellent and profitable product
• Maintain work vehicle and tools to be clean, organized, and operational on a daily basis
• Train and develop crew members in best practices of industry and company standards
• Complete daily activity reports and timesheets and submit daily
• Forecast equipment, labor and material needs to ensure efficient production
• Direct, oversee and participate in work performed by your team. This is a hands-on position and requires this person to perform work activities alongside their team
• Interact with clientele to ensure job satisfaction
• Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards

• Perform other duties as related or assigned in all service areas of Wright Outdoor Solutions
