About The Position

This position will safely operate a 6' riding mower to maintain turf in parks, athletic fields, trails, and other public green spaces. The work schedule is Mondays - Wednesdays (an occasional Thursday, as needed) from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Approximately 15-20 hours per week. The season begins mid-April and continues through October/November timeframe.

Requirements

• No experience is necessary.
• Basic knowledge of riding mowers and ground maintenance is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload lawn mower onto trailer for transport between park sites.
• Safely maneuver lawn mower and trailers within park facilities, parking lots, and maintenance areas.
• Operate 6' riding mower in a responsible manner to maintain turf in parks, athletic fields, trails, and other public green spaces.
• Perform light servicing and routine maintenance of mowing equipment, including fueling, checking fluids, cleaning, and basic upkeep.
• Maintain a neat appearance of mowing areas and report any equipment issues or site concerns to a supervisor.
• Deals effectively and courteously with fellow employees and the general public.
