About The Position

As an Assembler you will be performing manual labor in a production line; and assembling parts for Mower Assembly line. Basic to complex assembly, placing parts on Mower to progress down an assembly line. Requires the use of hand tools, wrenches, and impacts, etc. Picks up, moves and sorts small parts. Unpacks parts from cardboard boxes as required. May operate forklift and/or heavy equipment or machinery in assigned area if certified. Employee will be expected to work at fast pace to meet production quota while ensuring Safety and Quality. Reports Safety incidents or property damage to Supervisor immediately. Report any defective material or questionable condition to production department supervisor. Maintain the manufacturing work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner utilizing Lean and 5S principles. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Assembly and/or general manufacturing experience is preferred
  • There are multiple individual jobs covered by this job description with varying physical requirements
  • May be required to lift or carry materials of various weights and sizes
  • Ability to perform frequent bending and reaching
  • Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift
  • Must be friendly, courteous, service-oriented, and flexible and enjoy working with a variety of staff
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
  • Must be detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision; work well under pressure; able to manage multiple projects
