About The Position

Capital Movers & Storage is looking for motivated individuals to join our team. Our employment opportunities provide interested candidates the chance to stay physically active, provide great customer service, work with a team, and learn new skills. We operate Monday through Friday with some weekend opportunities and work with staff to ensure a schedule that allows for balance whenever possible. Regular shifts start at 745AM. Opportunities for overtime. Please note - this position has variable hours with no guarantee of minimum hours - weekly hours may range from 20-40 hours depending on business volumes. Requirements

• Fast learner: able to take on new tasks and areas of responsibility in a short time frame
• Customer service
• Capable of safely lifting up to 75 pounds (this is a physically demanding role)
• Enjoys physical labour
• Attention to detail
• Good team-player—enjoys working with others to accomplish goals
• Dependable and willing to work (your teammates will be counting on you)
• Physical fitness—able to work long hours at physically demanding tasks
• Background check required upon offer of employment, additional security clearances as projects require
• Applicants selected for the position will be required to provide a CPIC (police background check/criminal record check) upon offer of employment.

• Household goods moving/storage/packing experience an asset
• Bilingualism an asset
• Valid G licence an asset

Responsibilities

• Assist with the loading and unloading of household goods shipments, at residences and warehouse
• Assist with loading/unloading of appliances and fine furniture for commercial deliveries
• Assist with packing/unpacking of breakable items
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Assist with truck/trailer upkeep including folding of moving blankets, breaking down of packing material, washing vehicle and equipment as required
