About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Airport Operations Duty Shift Managers and Operations & Security Manager, performs movement area driving functions in support of airfield operations, including providing authorized vehicle support for aircraft tows and other approved activities such as construction and contractor access within the movement area.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Operations security badge
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to communicate effectively via two-way radio
• Ability to operate airport vehicles safely in a dynamic airfield environment
• Ability to maintain situational awareness at all times
• Ability to adhere to all DMAA Rules and Regulations, standard operating procedures, and airfield driving requirements
• Ability to complete and maintain required movement area driver training and recurrent training

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in airfield operations or driving
• Knowledge of air traffic control procedures

Responsibilities

• Provide movement area driving support for aircraft under tow, ensuring safe and efficient relocation between remote parking areas and terminal gates.
• Assist Airport Operations with authorized vehicle escorts into the movement area for construction, maintenance, and contractor activities.
• Maintain continuous communication with the Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) via two-way radio while operating in the movement area.
• Adhere to all DMAA Rules and Regulations, standard operating procedures, and airfield driving requirements.
• Complete and maintain required movement area driver training and recurrent training in accordance with airport and regulatory standards.
• Operate airport vehicles safely in a dynamic airfield environment, maintaining situational awareness at all times.
• Report unsafe conditions, hazards, or operational concerns to Airport Operations.
• Support additional airfield operations activities as assigned.
