About The Position

Woodward Tahoe is seeking Mountain Patrollers for the summer season. This role is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts who are confident in first aid response and thrive under pressure. As a member of the Patrol team, you will be crucial for guest safety, terrain management, and emergency response, ensuring trails and parks are safe, responding to incidents, and supporting operational excellence.

Requirements

  • OEC or EMT (CA state card)
  • CPR certification
  • Calm under pressure and able to work efficiently in emergencies
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Dependable, punctual, and safety-minded
  • Willingness to train and grow within the department

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in patrol, guiding, mountain rescue, or similar roles is a plus
  • Ability to mountain bike

Responsibilities

  • Perform morning venue checks
  • Respond quickly to resort wide incidents and injuries
  • Provide first aid and coordinate guest transport as needed
  • Assist with special extrications off mountain bike trails, skate bowls, trampolines, and foam pits
  • Educate guests on mountain safety and etiquette
  • Maintain and restock medical supplies at patrol stations
  • Serve as a first responder in emergency situations, including lift evacuations
