About The Position

Year-round, full-time position. As a Mountain Electrician Level I, you will work alongside experienced electricians to support the operation and maintenance of lifts, snowmaking systems, lodges, and other mountain electrical utilities. This position provides an opportunity to develop your electrical skills through hands-on training and experience while learning the unique electrical systems and equipment used throughout the resort. Responsibilities will include assisting with preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and general electrical work while following established safety procedures and NEC requirements. Requirements

Strong desire to learn the electrical trade and continue developing electrical skills.
Basic understanding of electrical concepts is preferred.
Ability to follow instructions and safely perform work under the direction of experienced electricians.
Ability to learn, retain, and apply information from electrical prints, manuals, diagrams, and training materials.
Ability to work at various heights and in varying weather conditions.
Ability to safely operate machinery and equipment after receiving appropriate training.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and willingness to follow established safety procedures.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Desire to learn about the mountain and its electrical systems.
Weekend and holiday availability.
Availability to participate in an on-call rotation as training and experience allow.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly.
Ability to work independently as skills and experience develop.

Responsibilities

Assist experienced electricians with electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Learn and apply NEC requirements and electrical safety standards.
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
Assist with troubleshooting electrical and control systems.
Learn the operation and purpose of electrical equipment throughout the mountain.
Read and understand electrical prints, diagrams, manuals, and other technical information.
Assist with training and supporting equipment operators as your knowledge and experience develop.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Work collaboratively with the electrical team, other departments, and supervisors to complete necessary tasks.
Participate in training and continue developing electrical knowledge and skills.
Perform other duties as assigned.
